Product Highlights

  • Compact Design. The saw measures 16-3/8” long overall and weighs just under a pound.
  • High-Carbon Steel Blade: The high-carbon steel blade measures 11” long and .02” thick, with a cutting depth of approximately 2-3/8”.
  • TPI. The rip saw has a 10° rake angle and included 60° angle for efficient cutting parallel to the grain. The teeth have .003” of set per side.
  • Molded Spine. The molded spine incorporates stainless-steel powder for weight, glass fiber for stiffness and advanced polymer to make this a lightweight, yet very durable rip saw.
  • One-Piece Assembly. The over-molded blade and stainless-steel handle-mounting bolt create solid one-piece blade/spine/mount assembly.
  • Brass Fastener. A single brass fastener secures the hardwood handle.
  • Open-Grip Handle. The hardwood open-grip handle is larger than those of classic carcass saws, providing a comfortable, secure grip.
  • Crosscutting. The blade is recommended only for crosscutting. The Veritas 12 TPI Ripcut Carcass Saw (#05T07.05) is recommended for ripping tasks.
