Description
Thuya is an attractive burl native to Morocco. It has an orange to reddish brown color, which darkens with age. Its burl grain is typically swirled and can vary with respect to the size of knot clusters. Texture is medium to fine, with good natural luster. Thuya has a pronounced cedar scent. As with most burls, care should be taken to avoid tear out when turning Thuya burl. Some voids may require filling with CA glue prior to turning. Sands and finishes nicely.
