• Uses. The Robert Sorby Internal Shear Scraper is used to peel away the wood fibers of your turning.
• Materials. The Internal Shear Scraper has a 6-1/2” blade made from M2 High speed steel and features an ergonomic 12” ash handle with a solid brass ferrule.
• Shank. The scraper uses a 3/8” square shank and a cutter at precisely 45° to the workpiece and works in either direction.
• Advantages. At the optimum angle of 45°, the shearing action is safer and produces a superior finish, with little or no sanding required. Cutter digging is virtually eliminated.
