Description
These internally stepped jaws are designed to operate primarily in contraction mode, gripping the base of footed bowls—fits Rikon Z3 and Z4 lathe chucks, sold separately.
The three internal, dovetail steps of these jaws will grip a variety of bowl bases in contraction mode, for optimal holding power and with minimal crushing of the wood fibers. There is also an external dovetail, for holding bowls with recessed mortises. The steps grip bowl feet ranging from 2-1/2'' to 3-5/16''. In expansion mode, the outer dovetail holds recesses from 3-7/16'' to 4-1/4''.
