• Hardened-Steel Drill Guides.  Three hardened-steel drill guides let you install deck boards in a variety of hard-to-reach areas -- one at 90° to the board edge, and two at opposing 45° angles that allow easy access when working near walls, as well as when creating strong joints where boards butt together end to end. They also keep the stepped drill bit and driver bit at the precise, optimal angle.
•  Easy-Grip Handle. The easy-grip handle gives you a safe secure hold and complete control over the jig and each joint.

• Drill. Drive. Done.   First, you drill holes into the edge of your deck board using the stepped bit, guided by the jig’s drill guides. Next, drive the self-tapping deck screws through the same guides and into the joist as the depth collar controls the depth. You have just created an incredibly strong and sturdy joint with no visible fastener.
