Description
Yellow Birch shorts are approximately 13/16″-thick x 4-1/2″ to 7-1/2″ wide x 24″ long. They are available in one, two, and three board foot quantities.
Heartwood tends to be a light reddish brown, with nearly white sapwood. Grain is generally straight or slightly wavy, with a fine, even texture. It’s generally easy to work with hand and machine tools, though boards with wild grain can cause grain to tear out during machining operations. Finishes well.
