Description
Padauk shorts are approximately 13/16″-thick x 3-1/2″ to 7-1/2″ wide x 24″ long. They are available in one, two, and three board foot quantities, and come in multiple pieces.
Padauk is well known for its rich, crimson red color! It’s an excellent hardwood for cabinetry and fine furniture. Reddish orange when freshly cut, it matures over time to a bright red with darker red and purple streaks. It is hard, heavy and extremely resistant to rot, and makes one of the most durable hardwood floors available. It is easily worked, takes an excellent finish and polishes beautifully.
