Description
Ash shorts are approximately 13/16″-thick x 5-1/2″ to 7-1/2″ wide x 24″ long. They are available in one, two, and three board foot quantities.
The heartwood is a light to medium brown color. Sapwood can be very wide and tends to be a beige or light brown. It produces good results with hand or machine tools. It responds well to steam bending and is flexible when ripped into thin strips. It glues, stains, and finishes nicely.
